Shantigram Adani, Ahmedabad

Located in India's manufacturing hub, Ahmedabad’s Vaisnodevi Highway, this project was a 600-acre township consisting of Residential, Commercial, and cultural spaces. The goal of the project was to create a Master plan report for the township's future development.

It is home to the infamous Adani International School and the extraordinary Belvedere Golf and Country Club. During the project we explored different land use iterations and massing typologies; taking into consideration the possible view corridors, open spaces and ease of access. We further divided the township into different districts, each with their own identity providing a system of way-finding along the expansive township.

One of the major interventions provided by us was the creation of a City Centre. This is along the Water Lily Lake. It is a part of an already existing luxury residential plot. A lake surrounds the property, giving the sense of living in the water. To enhance social engagement and environmental sustainability, we designed a retail plaza and a Chowpatty promenade along the lakeside, interwoven with internal green pockets that promote biodiversity and urban cooling.. The City Centre Plaza then acts as a foyer to the Cultural Complex inside – this consists of art galleries, performance spaces, etc.
